Round 11 Tipsters' News, 2009

Congratulations to:

  • Adam Stammers (Ormond College),
  • Lucien Boland (Information Technology Services, Identity and Access, currently in Italy),
  • Eddie Ross (Monash University),
  • Garry Watt (Monash University),
  • Wilma Greenwood (P&CS, Bruce's wife),
  • Yvonne Smith (c/o Information Technology Services, Warren.s sister),
  • Jackson Sharpe (ext, son of Peter Sharpe), and,
  • Dianna Gu (ext) who tipped all eight winners over the weekend. They win $33.75 each, payable on Thursday, once the video judge has given the all clear. Please send me your bank details.

According to the tipping ratio statistics there were two major upsets: Carlton (21.3%) defeated Brisbane by one goal (The Judmeister) in a high tension game. Fev kicked 8, should have bagged 12. Adelaide (42.7%) defeated Essendon in a very high scoring game, remarkable for the goal accuracy - combined 39 goals and only 10 points.

Meanwhile at the top of the Tipsters' Table Peter Hawting maintains his two point lead, despite only tipping 6. His aggregate score is 68. There are now 5 people equal 2nd-6th on 66:

  • Jane Bentley (second entry) (Financial Operations, 258 Queensberry St),
  • Peter McGrath (Internal Audit),
  • Ken Powell (external),
  • Marian Ross (Monash University), and,
  • Rob Sturrock (Information Technology Services).

The average score for the round was 5.98, up 1 point from last week and The RAT (Random Tipper) tipped 6. Ten people (4%) didn't tip, half as many as last week. Don't forget to presss "Enter" after selecting your picks. Until you see the screen message of "You have Successfully tipped ..." no valid tips have been entered.

Tips close at 7 pm Friday.
Note: it is a split round across the next two weekends. But you must tip for all games by next Friday (12th).

Tip now to avoid disappointment. You can tip for the whole season - and then change your tips weekly - to be sure.

    Good luck,

    Ben Warden
