Round 15 Tipsters' News, 2009

No-one tipped all eight winners over the weekend so the prize pool jackpots to $520 next week.

According to the tipping ratio statistics there were four major upsets: Collingwood (26.2%) set the tone for the weekend when they defeated the Western Bulldogs in a very high standard game that went down to the wire with the Bullies just failing to storm home, losing by a point. Then Essendon (37.9%) defeated Hall-less Sydney (in Sydney). The third upset was Brisbane (31.8%) inflicting another defeat on Geelong after Geelong lost to St Kilda last week, the weight of injuries finally catching up with Geelong. Finally, Melbourne (19.2%) defeated Port Adelaide in consecutive wins, the first time since Adam was a boy.

Fev kicked 9, his personal best, as part of the "Fev Show" including none in the first quarter. Adelaide slaughtered the Dockers, only allowing them one goal. West Coast ran St Kilda close, Hawthorn scraped in against North care of the Buddy Show - 4 goals in the last quarter in the pouring rain!

Meanwhile at the top of the Tipsters' Table Peter Hawting retains a slender one point lead over the pack with an aggregate score of 91. Now equal second/third are

  • Marian Ross (Monash University), and,
  • Eddie Ross (Monash University).

    Dropping to outright fourth is
