Late Sunday evening saw St Kilda's lose by two points in a heart stopper - Riewold to win the game, seconds to go, marks 40 metres out, slight angle, kicks a point, ending St Kilda's tilt at history, opening up the final eight and throwing the tipsters into chaos. No-one tipped all eight winners over the weekend, so the prize pool jumps to $780. Tip now to avoid disappointment.
According to the tipping ratio statistics there were 2 major upsets and one minor upset: Footscray (41.0%) defeated Brisbane in Brisbane, aka doing the miraculous, first winning the ball in a contest, then kicking a left foot goal from the difficult boundary line while off balance, turning the game.
In a minor upset, Melbourne (48.1%) defeated the Dockers in the battle of the cellar dwellers. To finish, Essendon (12.9%) sensationally defeated St Kilda, allowing Essendon to slip into 8th place and breathe life into the last couple of regular games.
Meanwhile at the top of the Tipsters' Table Peter Hawting (external) maintains his two point advantage after tipping a solid five leaving him with an aggregate score of 118.
Equal second are Jane Bentley (Finance, Level 2 258 Q) and Chris Bowden (c/o Baillieu Library), both tiping strong sixes and now with aggregate scores of 116. Eddie Ross (c/o Monash), last week's second place, this week equal 4/5th with Marian Ross (Monash), a point behind on 115.
The average score for the round was a low 4.52, up 1.32 on last week. The RAT (Random Tipper) tipped 3 and 20 people (10%) didn't tip.
Tips close at 7 pm Friday.
You can tip
for the whole season - and then change your tips weekly - to be sure.
Good luck,
